As London’s most prestigious purpose-built meetings and events venue, The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) is proud to be a platinum sponsor of the Convention 2020 study.
The QEIICC, situated in the heart of Westminster alongside Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, offers seven floors of event space, including four main auditoria, seven conference rooms and more than 20 smaller meeting rooms.
With capacity for 2-2,500 delegates in plenary session and 3,300 in total capacity, the Centre is renowned for the experience and professionalism of its staff, the quality and reliability of its services, its high level of security and use of leading-edge technology. It is fully air-conditioned and is one of the most IT intelligent buildings in the UK with a built-in wireless network, in-house audio-visual services and webcasting, plus an online conference service.
The cuisine is provided by Leith's and the in-house production facilities by Interface, both of which offer an outstanding service tailored to fulfil individual requirements.
The QEIICC, an executive agency of the Department for Communities and Local Government, recently reported record results, with turnover rising to more than £11.5million in 2008/09 and almost 400 events hosted.
Sue Etherington, acting commercial director at The QEIICC, said: “The QEIICC is delighted to be a platinum sponsor and key supporter of this excellent initiative by ICCA and IMEX, ensuring that the industry understands the needs of a rapidly changing market and client in these challenging times.”
